... the length of the story doesnt really allow much time for 'in-depth'. The plot just seems to skim along a surface. It is a painting-by-numbers storyline with no surprises, however it is a comfortable scan over the Christmas period when a reader is feeling all mellow and happy. Grammar, spelling, editing all appear top-notch as per usual with a West story. A satisfactory read.
Michael's life has become one disaster after another. He losing his long time boyfriend over a employee, that later takes advantage of him. He finds out after current boyfriend doesn't com home that he quit his job and left to Florida with his boyfriend. Michael finds out that the money he gave him for bills, he stole.
Then Logan show up out of the blue with an outrageous proposal. See if the past lovers can overcome the past
It is a great short story read.
OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE BOOK This is great short story.

Michael's life has become a disaster. One stupid decision had cost him Logan, his long-time boyfriend, the one that probably was the love of his life. The reader will find what had happened and I personally think that the most stupid part was not to see how devious the "third part" was. Not that that was a full excuse for Michael's behaviour.
Then there was the cancer and the "third part" took advantage of that situation too, and emptied all Michael's accounts. Leaving Michael totally lost.
Then Logan comes by - with an outrageous proposal....
As I said - a bedtime story "wink".
Good but too short. Wanted more!
it's a quick read, but good. it has sweet romantic elements and the snide remarks any gay man would make to their lover that cheated on them. I very much enjoyed the story and will be looking for more like this from Shannon.
