Quirky, witty and fun. Chase Banter is the most dysfunctionally functional person you will ever meet and her daughter Bud is a precocious and brilliant young girl who gets Chase to do things that she normally wouldn't do. Chase is also dealing with her best friend and employer Layce whose is having control issues and her muses, Divine Vulva and Commercial Endeavor are having an affair and causing all kinds of turmoil for Chase but she is determined to overcome some of her phobias.
There are several times I found myself laughing out loud, this is a sidesplitting ride that is quick, quirky, witty and fun. If you need a good laugh, some witty banter and the feeling of being perfectly normal in a crazy world then pick this book up!
Chase is determined to try to overcome her fear of new and changing things. Her daughter is a mini Eisenstein. Her wife is Italian who can't cook. What follows is the complications of each person when they all three attempt to help or hinder each other with a lot of love for each other. Enjoy!
Can’t remember when I’ve laughed so hard at a series, or even cried a tear or two. I think I’ve read just about everything this writer has to offer and I liked the series the best depth of characters. What other couple would have an snotty up town mother and a crazy Spanish mother spray you with holy water.
Pics of the characters are beyond believable but so true to life. I especially like that this couple had a baby who turned out to be a genius and we’re somewhat of surrogate parents to another genius although she kind of disappeared in book 3 and the child came forward more. If there were additional books in the series yes I would get them thank you so much
Absolutely loved this trilogy
I have read all of Saxon Bennett's books, and I never fail to laugh while reading. I was so excited to find out that Bennett would be writing another Chase Banter and family book. I love the crazy adventures and situations Chase ends up in, and she's rolling in them deep in this book. I couldn't put the book down, I HAD to finish it, but there were two instances where I did put the book down, and that was ONLY because I was laughing so hard, I couldn't hold onto the book. (And now i'm laughing again from picturing those two scenes). I love how colorful and alive the characters are in Bennett's books, I feel like I'm there with them, and this book is no exception. I really do hope we get to visit the Banter family again in the future, I want to see what Bud is like when she's in her tweens and how Chase handles it, especially since she's having some issues and Bud is only six. My only issue with the book, is not really with the story, its what's in the book synopis, for lack of a better word. On the back page, it mentions how Bud is eight-years old and in the book, she is six, although being eight is a big issue (for Chase, that is). Other than that, I didn't want the story to end. Seriously, I think I broke something laughing during the final gift wrapping contest. I was happy we got visit with almost all of Chase's friends, although I did miss a few, but finding out a bit (teeny tiny bit) about Donna kinda helped. I have already re-read the book since I received it on Wednesday. Ty Saxon Bennett for a wonderful read ! Looking forward to the next book !

Oh, Saxon Bennett, you've done it again!
Another solid entry in this series, now numbering three. Bud is all of six years old, and Chase and Gitana are enjoying their lives and their daughter. We see the same characters Saxon introduced us to in the first two books. Chase's best friend Lacey is having some control issues which affect the lives of others in the community. Chase is such an character, as is Bud. We see new skills Chase has, skills she never knew she possessed.
And, yes all ends well, as it must. Although...the ending makes me wonder if this will be the last book in the series. If that's the case, that's OK. I don't know if Saxon wants to go any further with these characters. And maybe it's time to explore new territory.
A light, fluffy, fun read.
One of the best trilogies I have read. Love the characters, made me laugh a lot. Loved it.
