I really liked this book. Granted that wine and law are two interests of mine, as well, but it's a fun read with good character development, tight plot and enough intrigue and twists and turns that keeps the book moving at a fast clip.I was worried that a legal thriller might get caught up in the density of the trial, but the author does a nice job of keying in on the good parts and never gets to mired in endless detail.
Of particular note, the fact that the lead character is a junior attorney leads to a lot of interesting moments when the inexperienced lawyer is thrust into many first-time situations.

I'm not a writer or a literary critic, but I do read a lot and I found Winery Peak to be a very enjoyable book. The plot was interesting -- I felt like I was getting a live glimpse into the real litigation process -- and the characters were well developed. And what a surprise ending...the closer you get to the end, the faster you will be flipping the pages!!! I can only hope that Mr. Graham will follow-up with another legal thriller featuring the adventures of Richard Magnus.
